On the side of a training pitch at the City Football Academy, Savinho stood next to his stepfather watching a Pep Guardiola session for the first time. It was in July, just before Manchester City's pre-season tour of America. The 20-year-old was making a quick stop to sign his paperwork and greet a few people. With eyes on what was going on during a light workout for those not on holiday, Savinho was exclaiming how he'd never expected this.
