The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is separately investigating whether or not Boeing and its suppliers followed proper safety procedures in manufacturing elements for the Max.
The FAA has barred Boeing from rushing up manufacturing of 737s until the agency is glad about high quality points.
FAA administrator Michael Whitaker stated on Tuesday that his company is about midway by means of a six-week audit of manufacturing processes at Boeing and its key supplier on the Max, Spirit AeroSystems.
